Earth Building & GoBrik Building
Keen to build green? To create something with adobe and cob? And put your ecobricks to the best use possible? We're excited to announce an extensive new page on Ecobricks.org that provides a deep dive to the methods and best practices of Earth and Ecobrick building.
Whether your building a food forest play park, a round house, a simple bench or a structural wall, the methods, principles and best practices are roughly the same. Our fully updated Earthen Methods guides is created from over a decade of earth and ecobrick experience by our GEA team. These methodologies are designed from the ground up (pun intended!) to use local resources, minimize grey impacts and maximize green.
Also available in French, Spanish and Indonesian.
GoBrik 3.0 Progress
Our apologies to all ecobrickers. We're behind on launching the new GoBrik.
We're getting tons of inquiries from those of you who have ecobricks to log or need access to your ecobrick collection!
Rest assured our volunteer development team is hard at work. We're keen to get the new GoBrik up as much as everyone else. Alas, we only get one shot a launching our new GoBrik and lay the foundation for new generation of regenerative code. We are behind schedule... but we're confident you appreciate the wait for what's to come.
We're now in our last round of beta testing. We're aiming to launch November 3rd. We are super excited about the new 3.0 core that we'll be launching:
- Wayyy faster loading than before.
- 100% open source code
- No corporate or outside platforms or services (bye bye Amazon servers!)
- Our new Buwana account system (move on from Google, Apple, Facebook logins!)
- Better ecobrick logging and messaging
- Native in English, French, Spanish and Indonesia out of the gate.
Coming Soon
Stay posted for a new page on the concept of Ayyew and of course the new GoBrik 3.0
